Terms of service
The agreement between you and Threennovate when you use Spindle Cloud: the trial, what it costs, your data, and what each of us can expect.
Last updated 11 October 2026
Version 2026-10-11. These terms apply to Spindle Cloud, the service we host. Running Spindle on your own server isn't covered by them: the software is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License 3.0, which is all that applies there.
Who we are
Spindle Cloud is provided by Threennovate d.o.o. za usluge, Ulica Matije Gupca 39, 10362 Adamovec (Grad Zagreb), Croatia, MBS 081566379, OIB 52107753723. Write to us at hello@threennovate.com.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you create it for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you may.
Accounts and organizations
- Creating an account also creates an organization with its own workspace, and you are its owner. The organization is the customer: it has the trial and the subscription.
- People you invite join your organization, and you are responsible for how they use it. People who join someone else's organization through an invitation start no trial or subscription of their own.
- Keep your sign-in safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account.
The trial
Each new organization gets 90 days of Spindle Cloud for free, with every feature and without a card. You can subscribe during the trial, and you are charged only when it ends.
If the trial ends without a subscription, the organization becomes read-only: you can still sign in, read your time, run reports, export them and download your data, but not add or change time. Nothing is deleted. Subscribing makes it fully usable again.
An organization that stays read-only for 12 months is deleted, with its workspaces and the time tracked in them. We warn its owners and admins by email 30 days and 7 days before, and until the last day they can download their data or subscribe. People's accounts stay, and someone left without a workspace can start a new trial.
Price and payment
- Spindle Cloud costs €5 per seat a month, or €50 per seat a year, with every feature. Prices include VAT where it applies.
- A seat is a person who is a member of at least one workspace in the organization. Someone in two of its workspaces is one seat, and pending invitations aren't seats. Someone in two organizations is a seat in each.
- Our online reseller is Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all orders. Paddle sells you the subscription, takes the payment, sends the invoices and handles questions about them, and its buyer terms apply to the purchase.
- The subscription renews each month or year until it's cancelled.
- These are early-adopter prices. An organization that signs up while they apply keeps them for as long as it exists, also if it cancels and subscribes again, and a later price change doesn't apply to it.
- For other organizations, if we change the price, we tell the organization's owners by email at least 30 days before, and the new price applies from the next period after that.
Cancelling
Owners can cancel the subscription at any time. It stays fully usable until the end of the period already paid for, and then becomes read-only, as after a trial.
You can delete your account at any time, under Account in the web app or in the apps' Settings; Delete your account says how. What happens to your data then is described in the privacy policy.
Refunds
If you aren't happy, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, or of the renewal of a yearly subscription: write to hello@threennovate.com or reply to Paddle's receipt. After that, a period already started isn't refunded. Consumers' statutory rights apply in any case.
Your data
- What you and your team track is yours. We use it only to provide Spindle Cloud to you, as the privacy policy describes, and we don't sell it or use it for advertising.
- You can download everything you tracked at any time, also while the organization is read-only.
- We back up the database every day, but keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Using Spindle Cloud
Don't use Spindle Cloud to break the law or anyone's rights, to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, to overload or disrupt the service, or to send spam through its invitations. If an account does, we may suspend it, and we tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.
Spindle tracks the time people choose to track. Using it to monitor people without their knowledge isn't allowed.
Claude Code, Codex and other agents
Suggestions and agent access work with Claude Code, Codex and other agents you run. Those are other companies' products, under their own terms; we aren't responsible for them, or for what your agent does with what it reads.
The service
- We work to keep Spindle Cloud running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or free of errors. We announce planned maintenance in advance when it may interrupt the service.
- Spindle changes over time. If we remove a feature you pay for, we tell you in advance.
- If we ever stop offering Spindle Cloud, we tell you at least 90 days before, so you can download your data or move to your own server. The code stays open source.
Liability
We are fully liable for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For anything else, our total liability is limited to what the organization paid us for Spindle Cloud in the 12 months before the damage, and we aren't liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit. None of this limits what consumer law doesn't allow to be limited.
The name and the code
The code is yours to use under AGPL-3.0. The name Spindle and its logo are ours: a version you change and run for others must not present itself as Spindle or Spindle Cloud, or suggest that we made or support it.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update this page, its date and its version, and tell the organization's owners by email at least 30 days before the change applies. If you keep using Spindle Cloud after the change applies, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree with it, you can cancel before it applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia, and disputes go to the courts in Zagreb. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in, and you can also go to the courts there.
